Children should be able to swim 5 metres on their front and back with an understanding of using arms and legs. They should be able to swim 5 metres using breaststroke legs and 10 metres with floats.

Aims: Children will continue to develop the arm movements of front and back crawl. Front crawl breathing is continued. They will concentrate on the technique of breaststroke and the development of the butterfly leg kick.

Badge that can be achieved: 10 metres.
